Our Director and main tutor, Swami Anand Dharma ‘s classes are based around his 30 years plus of yoga practice and teaching. They include Hatha yoga (the yoga of postures), pranayama (the yoga of breath) & meditation / deep relaxation techniques drawn from many sources and disciplines. The varied sessions may be designed to calm and centre you, or to enliven your energies by utilizing out-flowing asanas, dance or breathing methods as taught by the yogis and other masters throughout the ages.

Our guest tutors of course have their own styles and you are able to choose from a wide range of methodologies and teachings. Please see the individual course info for details.

As each person is an individual, so there is a style of yoga to suit his or her personality.

Not at all. Every one of our sessions and courses is designed to cater for all levels of ability and experience. Classes are kept small enough for the tutors to give everyone the individual attention they need. It is worth mentioning here that in class you may see people doing different things than the tutor has suggested for you personally. This is not to encourage competition, rather, it ensures that everyone gets the maximum from their yoga sessions.

It is arguable that novice practitioners get more out of the simple postures, because the more experienced have to work harder to deepen their practice!

It is also advisable to speak to the tutor before the class begins. Each of our tutors allows sufficient time before beginning their sessions for this.

Loose fitting clothing is advisable. We also recommend you use natural fabrics, cotton and or linen etc being ideal – Greece can be very warm (if not downright hot!) at certain times of the year and we have found this the best way to maintain comfort! We do not run courses over the hottest period of the year (July/August) at the moment and our on-site classes are carried out under cover. Some off-site sessions are held in the direct sunlight so please ensure you bring suitable sun-protection – i.e. hat, sunglasses and plenty of high-factor sun lotion.

You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat and we have a small amount of mats available to use or to buy should you so wish. If you have your own blocks and belts, again, please feel free to bring them, although most sessions are designed so these aids are not a requirement.

We are based towards the south-western end of Kos Island, in the small town of Kefalos. Here you will find beaches, great swimming, water-sports, ancient ruins (& no, we don’t mean out instructors, even if they do look like extras from the Iliad!), tavernas, restaurants and walks ranging from mild to challenging.

A, little further afield, Kos island is a popular tourist destination for people throughout Europe and has everything you would want from a Greek island – beaches, blue seas ideal for swimming, archaeology, shopping, night-life, restaurants and traditional Greek tavernas. You can spend your time wandering amongst the sunken forest at Plaka or curl up with a good book on a sun-lounger by the pool, or shop till you drop and marvel at the array of ships and smaller vessels using the harbour in the picturesque Kos Town. The choice is yours!

All our courses are designed to give you the maximum amount of free time to enjoy our little piece of Paradise, as well as enjoying and enhancing your yoga practice.
